New K1 Seal - Double Duty for Long-Term Efficiency
The K1 Seal's distinctive capabilities as a compact and efficient oil-impregnated lubrication unit greatly increase the performance of the Linear Guide.
Sealing and lubrication are achieved simultaneously due to a radically new material - porous synthetic resin. The K1 Seal allows a small amount of fresh oil to flow out continuously through the porous section of resin in contact with the rail, ensuring long-term efficiency.

Specifications
Applicable Series and Sizes
The new NSK K1 Seal is available on NSK's LH and LS Series Linear Guides - specifically
rail sizes LH20 to LH45 and LS15 to LS35. It can also be used with stainless steel and
surface-treated products.
Standard Specifications
The K1 Seal is easily installed between the end seal and the end cap of the Linear Guide.
Upon request, double-seal or protector-attached types are also available. AV2 grease is
sealed in, although the quantity and type of grease can be modified upon request.
Others
Although NSK's K1 Seal is not intended as a replacement for grease lubrication of the
Linear Guide, it's a real life saver in situations where the lubricant runs out, is washed
off, or is compromised by contaminates. Steel-on-steel friction can rapidly wear out a
Linear Guide. The K1 Seal guards against this worst case scenario, ensuring long-term
running efficiency.
